Customers can repair Apple's MacBook themselves. For this, the US technology giant has announced to increase in the scope of 'self-service repair' service. However, older models of MacBooks are not covered under this service. The company said that only MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and later models with M1 chip are under the self-service repair service.
The smart device giant will provide the necessary parts and tools if the customer wants to fix their MacBook themselves. Apple has started selling parts and repair tools for MacBooks based on the M1 chip in the United States since last Tuesday. Earlier, Apple launched a self-repair service for iPhone last April.

The service is currently only available to US customers with iPhones and MacBooks. However, the company said that the service will be launched in Europe within this year. Under this service, MacBook buyers can purchase the necessary tools to fix the device. Or if you want, you can rent the necessary tools for $49 for one-time use.
